Working with an external network.
Deye SUN-5K-SG03LP1-EU WiFi is a grid hybrid, part of it works as a grid inverter, the main task of which is to convert solar energy into alternating current 220V 50Hz. The power of the generation inverter into the network is 5000W. The inverter can operate in the "Green Tariff" system or to compensate for your own home consumption. For example, if you have a ZT, then the inverter will direct all the energy available from the sun to the needs of the house, charging the battery, and send the surplus to the external network. If you do not have the opportunity or desire to issue a TZ, then by activating the prohibition of selling surpluses, the Deye inverter will generate exactly as much solar energy as is needed for the needs of consumers. Both after the inverter and before the inverter in the area of the current transformer, which is supplied with the inverter and measures the flow into the external network.
Deye has three main options for generating solar energy and the ability to limit the amount of generation, as well as choosing the priority of using solar generation.
Working with a battery.
Deye SUN-5K-SG03LP1-EU WiFi allows you to connect both lead-acid and lithium batteries to it. The battery voltage must be in the range of 40-60V. The battery can have a CAN or RS485 synchronization port, then the inverter will recognize the battery and receive data on capacity, remaining charge, required charging current, temperature. If the battery does not support the synchronization function with the inverter, you can manually set all the parameters. The parameters are set both in measured values and in percentage. It is possible to specify the discharge current, limit the operating parameters of the battery, select charge sources, select an individual mode for each source, give a signal to external devices, set daily charging modes.
Work from an additional power port.
The Deye SUN-5K-SG03LP1-EU WiFi hybrid has a distinctive feature from similar inverters, it has a built-in additional power port. Why the port? The fact is that the manufacturer has laid down the functionality of this port, it can be both input and output. And it has three options for use:
Generator - in this mode, a generator is connected to the port, it can be controlled by the inverter, start when the inverter needs it in automatic mode, for this you only need to have a generator with automation, and the inverter issues a signal to allow the generator to work. In the inverter settings, you can set the generator power that can be taken from it, as well as the maximum generator operating time, the generator rest time. And separately for this input, specify the battery charging currents.
Smart load - in this mode, the input will become an output, and if there is excess energy that is not used, the inverter will send power to the load. The load can be, for example, a boiler. And in the settings, you can specify the battery discharge range for the excess energy discharge mode.
Micro-inverter - is the main solar field not enough? Connect another field to this input, at least on a network inverter, at least on microinverters.
Working with solar panels.
Our inverter has the ability to connect two solar fields with a current of up to 11A. The MPPT controller operating range is 125-425V, the inverter starts at 150V, and the upper limit of the field voltage is 500V. In the ideal for and
inverter case, solar panels should be selected based on the nominal voltage of the MPRT 370V. The passport indicates the maximum total power of 6500W, but according to the electrical parameters of the MPRT it can be higher, on modern panels up to 3500W per MPRT.
Service functions, performance and other points.
The inverter has an LCD display with touch control, all settings, management, and configuration are performed through the display. Also included in the delivery is a WiFi module for connecting to the SOLARMAN-based cloud monitoring service. Monitoring allows you to monitor the operation of the system, view graphs for the entire period of operation and practically all electrical parameters of the inverter. Also, statistics on the generation produced by the sun, given to the consumer and to the network are available on the basic LCD display.
Physically, the inverter can be installed outdoors, since the degree of protection of the inverter is IP65. The inverter is forced-cooled, with three coolers with electronic speed control.
